At the beginning of this task, the main aim was to fully understand photoshop and to polish my techniques. I also looked at camera techniques to try and understand my camera read more.
For my finals I have chosen Tim Walker, His work is very inspiring because of the colours he uses the style of the image and the story behind the images. His images are high-fashion with a twist of art added in.
For my examples, I use all the techniques from the previous shoots. My first example of the woman crouching with an elephant beside her. The elephant was added as a prop, Something Tim Walker would do in his work. I wasn’t happy with the positioning of my model and my elephant in the final piece this is because the image doesn’t feel evenly spaced. In hindsight I would take out the elephant and have the model on our own, where she is and how she looks would be enough to represent what Tim Walker does.
That I’ve got for images I looked at using a long exposure to create movement but to freeze the model in some of the images this created a mood, Of confusion within a big city with an African model who was lost. The positioning of my model was very good in some images creating the rule of thirds and directing that they to find out what was happening in the background. For these images are used Lightroom plug-in action to create a punch of colour and to sharpen different parts of the image. The relationship between all the images are I’ve used the same model in the same place doing different things but didn’t an aspect of wanting to find out more. For those should I use the make up artist because I wanted her to be out of place with her surroundings this creates questions for the viewing?
This will be the technique and style of photography I will follow up for my finals. These images look more professional and I think works better for the brief than the first images I took. There is room for improvement with my positioning of my models as well as finding a location for my final shoot.
