For this shoot, I felt the need to push the idea of Red by adding more Red. I chose to have a Red Monochromatic shoot, however, break the colour up with black shoes to match the model’s hair. I’m happy with the outcome and the colour does not overpower the image.
She is centred in both images which keep the focus directed at the viewer, also the dress will attract both female and man. In the first image, the model has a handbag this was done intentionally to see how she would look like a prop and also an additional prop to sell. This has worked well and the quality of the camera has brought out the detail on the bag, this will help me when I start adding props to the shots.
However, after leaving the image for a day, I am not happy with the background and my models dress. The colours are too far apart and this is distracting. Also, there are too many contrasting shadows in the background. I’m happy with the overall images because the model is posed with the dress being the main selling point. At this stage, I feel I need to go back and re-edit the image to correct the colour mismatch.
